The Omega Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon ref. 310.92.44.50.06.002 is crafted from polished and brushed grey ceramic with a plasma treatment, featuring a matching ceramic tachymeter bezel filled with white Super-LumiNova. Its skeletonized grey anodized aluminum dial reveals the laser-ablated Master Chronometer calibre 3869, decorated to resemble the moon’s surface, with the near side visible through the dial and the far side through the sapphire caseback, which is engraved with Jim Lovell’s Apollo 8 quote, “THE MOON IS ESSENTIALLY GREY.” Moonwatch-style hands, luminous indexes, and a tri-compax layout complete the dial, while the watch is fitted on a grey rubber strap with a moon-pattern underside and a ceramic foldover clasp.
